A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to attend my second ever styled shoot. This was hosted by Maidenwood Weddings + Events in Stockholm, Wisconsin. The venue is in a region of Wisconsin that is home to some of the most breathtaking views and some of my favorite views in all of Wisconsin. I am a sucker for a good bluff view with a nearby prairie and this venue has both.
Maidenwood is nestled among the bluffs of the driftless area and boasts views of those dramatic valleys created by the bluffs. Through those valleys, the vista shows off it’s small, yet satisfying views of Lake Pepin. Did I say that these are some of my favorite views in all of Wisconsin…? I meant it. Any couple looking for an outdoor wedding venue in the Wisconsin and Minnesota area should put this high on their list of venues to consider.
The event was put on by New Paige Planning and it was absolutely wonderful. The work that went into the day did not go unnoticed. The team of Vendors that Ashley at New Paige Planning put together was fantastic. The whimsical boho vibe was in abundance and was the perfect theme for a wedding at this venue.
While the day was chilly and mostly cloudy, the views of Maidenwood were nothing short of breathtaking. When that golden hour light finally graced us with its presence, the vendor team was so excited. I was blown away by the sense of community created at a styled shoot and felt the creativity flowing throughout the day. From Afa Event Styling, to the team at Maidenwood Weddings + Events, to Juniper Rose Floral, to the dresses from Xandy’s Bridal House, to the amazing suit from Stitch and Tie… to all of the other vendors that were there... everything was on point.
One of the most fun additions to the team of vendors was The Boozy Bison that can add a personal touch to any wedding or event.
The models were so much fun to work with. There was genuine laughter radiating through the venue.
