If you’re like me and have lived in the midwest for your whole life, you know just how stir crazy people get around March for spring weather. This year, spring gave us a few days that were downright HOT and quickly turned cold and gloomy for far longer than usual. When my friend, Kayla, reached out about a maternity session, she knew that scheduling an outdoor session would be a challenge and I was so glad when she was open to trying a greenhouse session to capture her growing family.
Tonkadale Greenhouse in Minnetonka, Minnesota graciously allowed us to spend some time capturing photos of the whole family on a Friday afternoon in March. It was a perfect day for us to be in the greenhouse. With the sun shining, the light was just perfect inside among all of the beautiful plants.
If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ve seen this adorable family for the last few years, but our relationship goes back farther than that. Kayla and I met in middle school and have been friends for almost 20 years (how is that even possible?!) Kayla and Lucas met in college at St. Cloud State University in Kayla’s freshman year.
When they were pregnant with their first, Lincoln, Kayla and Lucas asked me to capture their maternity session. Since then, we have updated their family photos at various times. I always have such a fun time with this sweet family.
Oliver joined the family over a month ago and I am anxious to see them all again.
