I kicked off my 2021 wedding season with the Kennedy family and I am so excited to share a glimpse into their day.

The Kennedys are a couple after my own heart. They love the outdoors and camping - something I can relate to. They explained that having an outdoor wedding was a must. And, having an interest in notable dates, they selected 4.3.21 as the perfect day for their wedding. Tonia and Lee lucked out with the most gorgeous weekend for their wedding. It isn’t very often that we have 70-degree temperatures in Hudson on April 3, but it is safe to say that these two could not have picked a better day. In character for a warm, sunny day in Wisconsin at the beginning of April, people were barbecuing and playing frisbee at the park. There’s a certain atmosphere that comes with people gathering outside on a warm day that just brings a smile to your face.

Tonia, Lee, and their two kids arrived at Prospect Park in Hudson, Wisconsin so we could capture some family photos of just the four of them before their guests arrived. The park overlooks downtown Hudson and the St. Croix River and it did not disappoint as a backdrop for their photos.

Tonia and Lee are some of the most easy-going, joyful people, and their wedding day reflected that. There was so much laughter throughout the time I spent with the two of them.

One of Tonia’s favorite accessories incorporated into her day was her jean jacket made by a family friend. I love the personal touch that it brought to her photos.

Twenty guests were in attendance at their intimate wedding including, my personal favorite, Mac, the husky, who is featured in several of the wedding day photos. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to resist an opportunity to visit with a dog.
