Meghan and I met when we both taught in Prairie Farm, Wisconsin for a few years. She is an amazing math educator who challenges middle school students to be great learners and it was so fun to be able to capture her wedding day among her close friends and family.
People who know Meghan and Trey know that they love all things that one would think of in Northern Wisconsin. I took their engagement photos in the fall at Meghan’s family cabin where they spend a lot of time each year hunting. It is a beautiful space filled with lots of fall color in October. I always love when clients can incorporate personal touches in their photos and this whole session was tied to their family - in my opinion, there is no better place for an engagement session than one that is special to you and your partner.
Meghan and Trey didn’t disappoint with their plans for a backyard wedding at Meghan’s parent’s house in Comstock, Wisconsin. The two were married in 2019, just days after a massive storm rolled through and blew down trees all over the area. Meghan, Trey, and their families got right to work after the storm passed and prepared for their perfect wedding day. While they had to make some last-minute adjustments to their plans for the flowers and their workload ahead of the wedding was suddenly much more intense, they were able to pull off a perfect wedding day.
Everything on their wedding day was closely connected to the two of them. From their custom bar that Trey made to their flowers assembled by Meghan and her family, the whole day felt perfect for the two of them. The ceremony was officiated by Meghan’s sister and ended with some surprise fanfare off in the distance.
